1920 – Mickey Roach (Toronto St. Patricks) scored 5 goals in a 11-2 win over Quebec Bulldogs. Record for most goals in one game is hold by Joe Malone. Malone scored 7 goals on January 31, 1920.

2013 – Chicago Black Hawks set a record for longest point streak to start the season. Chicago Black Hawks won 21 and lost 3 games in shootouts.

Cy Denneny – March 7

1921 – Cy Denneny (Ottawa Senators) scored 6 goals in a 12-5 win over Hamilton Tigers. Record for most goals in one game is hold by Joe Malone. Malone scored 7 goals on January 31, 1920.

Guy Lafleur – March 8

1978 – Guy Lafleur (Montreal Canadiens) scored his 50th goal of the season on the March 8, 1978. It was fourth straight 50 goal season for Guy Lafleur.

Gordie Howe – March 31

1928 – Gordie Howe (Canada) was born on March 31, 1928 in Floral, Saskatchewan, Canada. In the whole NHL career, Howe scored 801 goals in regular season games and 68 goals in playoff. He won 4 Stanley Cups (1950, 1952, 1954 and 1955), all of them with Detroit. He is nicknamed Mr. Hockey and he is regarded as one of the best players in hockey history.
